About Dawn

Social media and Dawn Gartin go together like peanut butter & jelly, peas & carrots, writers & words.

Not because Dawn invented the internet (she didn’t, thanks Al Gore…), or was the first friend on Facebook (that would be its creator, Mark Zuckerberg), or even because she spends too many hours a week tweeting, friending or posting (she doesn’t, she has a life too, ya know). It’s because she learned at an early age, it’s not what you know, but WHO YOU KNOW. Dawn has been networking, in one form or another, since 2001.

Through her work as a corporate trainer and speaker, she finds and capitalizes on tools that make her work efficient, enjoyable and progressive. Social media is one of those tools. She delights in finding resources that add value and create experiences. She doesn’t need to be the inventor, the first, or spend a lot of time to realize a good thing when she sees it.

She enjoys tennis, travel, driving with the top of her Miata down. When she isn’t on her smart phone or iPad, she is crusading for her newest project, My Sisters Black Book, which will be an iPhone App released Spring 2011. She lives in Atlanta with her husband Jeff and his cat, Pooky.

Makes You Think…
